Happy Days..

today is a happy day :) weather was bad but it didn't matter.. the very first time i actually stood that close to a star.. a star that people knew.... amazing...

woke up early cause thanks to mun you and cjian, we found out that the atp draw was today! :D han ming gave me hope that nadal would be there! we braced the strong wind and walked to london eye. at first, we were so disappointed cause there were h

ardly anybody there!! :( then i saw this guy wearing a blazer with ATP logo on it!! haha i kinda scream and pointed at him (malu betul..) haha so we stayed... met 4 more girls there to meet the tennis players.. in the end, only Andy Murray and the byran brothers came.. but never the less, its ANDY MURRAY people!! :D in case u're wondering, YES i took a picture WITH him!!! :D and i got his autograph on a tennis ball(much thanks to han ming for the ball) too. ahh.. standing around waiting during the super strong wind didn't come to waste :) if only nadal was there..... but now i know where the hotel they stay is at and the place they'll board the boat to the O2 stadium! haha stalker much..

oh i saw this super awesome ferrari too!! :D i will post pictures later... hehe

ONE MONTH! (short update)

come tomorrow, i've been in london for a month! :) its been a great month.. new place, new people, new cultural. but all in all, i've enjoyed every bit since i've been here. i'm thankful for my uncle in london who came and brought me shopping the day after i arrived, treated me to lovely chinese food which i absulately miss so so much.. i'm thankful for the friends i've made, or the ones that i've already known, they have helped to me settled in nicely. i'm happy with my hall and hallmates and the food too :) but i do miss my mom's cooking a lot! and my pan mee... studies wise, so far, its been alright. i hate the fact that people here are so competitive.. u jz entered uni and all they can say is, cv! internship! =.= i don't wanna lose out, i do want do have an internship with top investment banks, but come on, i've jz started uni.. =.=

in london, people talk bout weather all the time. and i found it funny cause i remembered when we used to walk around melawati, i would always change topics which i don't want to talk bout by asking bout the weather haha. in london, i walk ALOT. not that i'm complaining, cause its nice and cooling but jz wanna say that i walk a lot hehe. in london, eating out is so so expensive. hence i don't eat out. i miss japanese food, cause its so expensive here. i think my family would laugh seeing me write bout me missi

ng japanese food cause i used to not like them hehe i used to think raw fish is jz not edible :P which made my siblings really happy cause they get more haha in london, i hardly sweat but i tend to eat more. the cold weather makes u eat more. i do stay active. i play table tennis! haha these few days, london have been hotter. i actually sweat after table tennis which felt good :) in london, people smokes A LOT! i think its the cold also.. massive second

hand smoke! :( anywhere u walk, there's people smoking.. and there's so much more i can write hehe..

7 more weeks till christmas holiday! and then after that, 2 more terms then its back home :) i'm not really homesick anymore but it'll be so lovely to be back home again :) parents to take care of u!(don't have to do my own laundry, etc, etc) :P and suppers, movies, hanging out with melawatians! awesomeness :)

ps: i'm going nottingham next sa

turday :) which i'm pretty excited bout! i don't care much even if i lose haha but i hope i can at least win a medal :P there's gonna be malaysian food! :D yay!

pps: i told my friend from CU(christian union) bout captain ball and she was so interested bout it and might even introduce it to other CU members :D hehehe lse CU play volleyball instead of captain ball hehe.

fyi, lectures started 2 weeks ago, and classes are bout to begin. 8 more weeks till christmas holiday! :) stats lectures for now, is pretty boring... econs lectures are really good! ma100 for calculus is rather boring, and linear algebra is quite nice(i like the lecturer:) ) ma103 is alright too.. i thank God i took further math or not i can gg now.. :P i get hw every week/day and quiz every week. people here are competitive.. i went for the first econs class and there are people who already read the text book and asking questions from it when i haven't even opened it.. (ops :P) i opened it today after realizing that people do read the text book haha. i slept halfway reading topics we've already covered in lectures :P but not because the book is boring, rather my eyes were tired.. hehe so far, my academic life is pretty alright. :)

ps: i'm walking to church by myself tomorrow so i hope i don't get lost haha. i'm serious.

SHOWER.

i forgot to tell u guys how stupid my shower is! u know those tap where u press then water comes out and after like 5 seconds, water stop flowing? THAT'S HOW MY SHOWER WORKS! omg.. i've found another bathroom on my floor. a MUCH MUCH better one with proper tap! and the shower rooms are better too! each room got one part to shower with curtain inside! there's a place for u to change in the same cubicle which doesn't get wet cause of the curtain! can lock some more. i'm so gonna shower there every time.. feels so good not having to press that stupid button every 5 second or so! :D hahaha i'll take pictures and show u how diff both the bathrooms are. HUGE different!

*see wee lim, u don't have to go all the way to the ground floor to get good bathroom! XD *

ps: i've also seen the so called mythical sheep la! :P

LONDON! :)

i'm sorry for not blogging since i've arrived. hehe been busy. my current daily routine: wake up bout 7.30am, online for awhile, breakfast, go out, come back jz in time for dinner, online, sleep. and my day usually ends around 10.30 depending how tired i am. hehe

so what have i been up to?

sat: landed on this lovely place called london but soon realise its not

so lovely because the queue for immigration was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG. haha but after immigration stuff was settled, london become a lovely place again :P nice cooling weather. couldn't checked into my accommodation till 2pm :( and i arrived at my hall bout 10.30? so we(han ming, weng and i) walked tiffany from Russell square all the way to northumberland. IT WAS NOT NEAR WHEN YOU'RE CARRYING YOUR LAPTOP BAG

the malaysia flag that u guys gave me :) and my bed i didn't chose to have pink bedsheets +duvet. my uncle gave them to me and they were so much more comfortable than the ones the hall gave for free. hence comfort beats design :P

sun: uncle came over! :) woke up bout 7.30am. had breakfast, good breakfast :) thought the bacon was so so so salty. then brought uncle up to my room bout 10am. he gave me bedsheets and duvet cover :) so much better than the ones the hall gave me hehe and also some sweater and this huge winter jacket. haha then we went out :) he paid for everything that day hehe so nice of him. took the tube to Leicester square. as u walk out of the station u see CHINATOWN! :) we walked alot! from chinatown to regent street and regent street had some street fair going on. from regent street to oxford street where we went to primark and M&S. he bought me more stuff haha. then went back down to chinatown for lunch :) roast duck and beef noodles! delicious but i have to say it was quite pricey after conversion haha then walked to convent garden and to some other street i cannot remember. he also brought me to this HUGE bookstore which i don't quite remember where which is sad cause i really wanna sit there and read the whole day! haha trust me, its huge! and then we walked and walked an walked some more till we reached back to my hall. dump the stuff he bought for me there and we walk over to burnswick for a drink and to buy some washing liquid etc. he left after that :( but i'm so thankful for all the bought for me. from clothes to food. so nice of him to bring me around and buying me stuff as well! thank u :) came back jz in time for dinner, and joined my frens gossiping during dinner hehe. crashed a few hours after dinner haha

mon: registration day! hehe woke up at 7.30am again... =.= ate almost the same breakfast but wasn't happy when i found out han ming and weng have fried eggs and i don't! hahaha :P walked to lse. wanted to open bank account but then need letter from uni. so go register first. line for registration was from the 7th floor all the way down to the 1st! omg. but it moved really fast. so no biggie.. got my student card right after i registered :) made some new friends too. went back to IH with sen and han ming to print out the letter we needed for bank account but couldn't find where the document was =.= walked all the way back to lse but still couldn't find it :( then we walked back to IH. had dinner, then online then sleep.

tues: fresher fayre! (have no idea why the spell fair that way) i had cereal and croissant this time for breakfast instead of the hash brown+bacon+sausage+egg+toast. wanted to do bank account but couldn't!! have to make appointment and earliest is this sat! :( omg. so we decided to go fresher fayre after that. freshers fayre is where all the society and club lure u to join their club with freebies hehe. got lots of freebies but had to bare the consequence to carry those heavy stuff back to IH haha there were free food too. i'm a Chinese Malaysian hence i had to eat those free food! hahaha pizza, fish, sausage and flavored tea :)walked back to IH to dump those heavy things then took tube to oxford street. went shopping with sen and ming. walk and walk. then came back for dinner and here i am typing... hehe updating u all bout the thing i do here. :)

i won't be posting this kind of detailed activities anymore of course! haha jz to let u all have a rough idea wat i've been doing. i'm doing good :) weather's great, food's great, people's great :) i do miss home very much :( busyness is keeping me away from that evil sickness called homesickness.. i can't listen to emo song cause i feel like crying every time i hear those songs :(

ps: every time i pass by a shop selling postcards, which by the way are plenty haha i think of those frens back home asking for them hahaha and sorry i didn't take many pictures cause i'm too busy walking and walking.. hehe the date stated when this post was posted is WRONG haha its actually tues 8.23pm now.

i'm leaving on a jet plane

so i turn 19 today.. and i'm leaving tomorrow.. exactly 19 years I've lived in Malaysia before i leave to uk for studies :) thank you all for coming for my farewell and birthday! :) thank you all for the wishes (be it facebook/sms/in person).

i feel really blessed. i manage to do lots of things before i leave. i meet my college friends and went for our last karaoke session, attended my godmother's son wedding and got to meet up with my nanny's grandchildren (i miss my nanny..), went for a hari raya open house, celebrated birthday with my whole family(yes, all 5 of us :) ), celebrated birthday with my awesome friends and also will be meeting yoegeetha before i leave!! not forgetting also all the food i manage to eat. LAKSA! :)

so for those of u who doesn't know, i'm leaving tomorrow, 25th September at 7.30pm. leaving to london or to be more specific, London School of Economics and Political Science to read actuarial science.

i'm feeling really really excited!! but when i meet up with my friends, i fell sad having to leave them. i really do wish that all of us would further our studies at the same uni. sigh..
